Birthday Series: The Ruins

The Ruins in Talisay City, Negros Occidental is what remained of the grand mansion that Don Mariano Lacson built, following the death of his first wife, Maria Braga.

This is the most beautiful spot in Bacolod City for me. We felt like we were in another country, it's fascinating.

Constructed in the early 1900s, the Ruins was once a mansion that was said to be the biggest residential structure in the area that time. Today, it is a tourist attraction for its romantic, yet strong structures. Many interesting tales and facts lie within the walls and posts that remained of the Ruins.

Kuya-in-yellow said that the walls of the mansion were incorporated with egg whites mixed with cement, and to this day, visitors can see the gloss or shine on the mansion’s walls. The construction had to be done 24 hours, 7 days a week, so that the mixing and pouring of the concrete would be continuous, thus ensuring that the concrete's very compact and that no air got in. Amazing!

Conyo Problem: Sobrang ganda siguro here mgphotoshoot. I'm so inis because di kami naka bring ng outfits. Super sayang telege. charut.

The Ruins is open to the public from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm daily.
The Ruins may also be used for special events such as weddings, family reunions, etc.

Birthday Series: Pre-Celebration

One of my favorite cities in the Philippines is Cebu City. Aside from the fact that it's closer to "home", my best friend, Faith also lives/works there. I love it there cause they almost have everything like in Manila, (minus the horrible traffic and pollution).

My favorite activity every time I visit Cebu is "food trippin" with my best friend. Oh yea! We both love to eat! We can eat anything, as long as it tastes good!

So I went to Cebu two days before my trip to Bacolod city, just so I could spend some time with my "pikat" friend and other friends there! Besides, there's no straight flight from Tacloban to Bacolod, so I had to! (palusot) duh! Hihi

ridin' solo. charut.

Touchdown!

reunited! Yey <3

"People say, bestfriends are hard to find -- that's because the best is already mine!" :)) Naks!

We couldn't decide where-to-eat/what-to-eat for dinner that night (another friend, Ian was with us BTW),  ended up eating at this crappy restaurant called Q-bay restaurant. Oh gawd! I love Japanese food, so I thought this "good-looking" resto was worth the try. NOT!

Just look at Faith's facial expression! :p (wag yung cleavage, k?) LOL

The prices were "very" expensive (like, super! to the highest level chos), so we thought the servings will be huge (like Casa Verde). NOT! eeek!

seriously? ://

Bbq PHP 30-40 pesos, EACH! The (fugly) banana on Faith's smoothie was bigger than these! Whatthefact!
Worst bbq ever! Ulk!

The Ramen was "Okay" but too pricey!!! PHP 225 if im not mistaken. (malaki lang yan sa Pic. Parang isang pack lang nang Lucky me yan! -__-)

My good friend, Kitty also joined us for dinner.

"Charge to experience", unfortunate food with great friends. Not bad! Hehe :)) Life is good. Move on na! Haha

Taal Volcano

Tagaytay offers superb views of the Taal Volcano and the volcanic island with its crater lake, but only if the weather is clear. The volcano is one of the smallest and most dangerous in the world.

Went back to the city to try "Happy Lemon" Yey!! Haha

They'll give you an Order Calling Buzzer. It's cool because you can walk around the mall and not have to stand by the restaurant. You still get your drink on time. :)

We saw Miss Lani Mercado with her daughters.
