The Butterfly Sanctuary is an eco-tourism attraction inside Camp John Hay. The best time to visit the Butterfly Sanctuary is during a fair weather because butterflies tend to be more active on a sunny day (sabi ni Manong). Well on our visit we were lucky enough to have some pictures taken with the butterflies placed on our faces, nose, hands..and everywhere. LOL

There is a minimal entrance fee of about Php20.00 per person charged for its upkeep. No time limits are set for visitors. The caretaker (an old Camp John Hay employee) will tell you everything you need to know. You can learn more from him about these lovely creatures and he'll sometimes help you actually touch them during your visit.

Butterflies are the most splendid creatures among other insects, their wings covered by millions of scales that efficiently reflect daylight and produce different pure colors assembled into mosaic figures, which is why some folks call them "small masterpieces of digital art."
